Helping you make positive changes in relationships, life and work.

Hello, I’m Eileen, an indoor and outdoor therapist in Wilmslow. I offer counselling and psychotherapy for individuals online, face to-face at my office in Wimslow and out and about walking.

I also offer Walking Therapy Training for therapists.

Let's talk about it

Welcome

I think therapy is for people with the self-awareness to recognise that they need a helping hand, which is something to be applauded. A relationship is at the heart of our work together, and finding someone you trust is very important.

As we work together, positive changes in your relationships, work and life can occur, even when those challenges seem overwhelming, distressing and confusing. Whatever your struggle, I am here to help.

What to expect

A warm welcome from me, as well as the support, time and space
to explore what brings you to therapy.

Talk

You can arrange your first appointment over text or email and if you prefer we can also talk over the phone before your  first session.

Meet

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session.  This gives you a chance to meet me and to talk a little about what’s going on for you. You can also ask any questions you may have. Then you can decide what you want to do next.

Support

Our work together might be short term or long term. Weekly sessions are ideal but fortnightly can also work well.

Helping you get better

Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy

I offer individual therapy face to face, online, and with walking appointments.

You may be experiencing relationship problems, or have a low or depressed mood most or all of the time. You might be feeling stressed and anxious or be experiencing grief or anger. Perhaps you have issues with food and eating. Whatever the reason, therapy could help you.

Research shows that 4 out of 5 people who come for counselling benefit from the experience.

Each therapy session will be unique to your needs and could help you in different ways. Your health and wellbeing will improve, and you will feel more in control of your life and your emotions.

If you are struggling with issues around food and eating come and work with me.  Do you use food to manage your emotions? Are you a diet expert? Do you know what you should do, but feel stuck? I am a licenced practitioner of the Understanding Your Eating Programme (UYE), and I work with a lot of clients with disordered eating so why not get in touch to find out more?

About me

I’m a registered and qualified counsellor with specialist expertise in Transactional Analysis (TA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Imago Relationship Therapy. I’m also a qualified nutritionist — because the mind and body are far more connected than we often give them credit for.

My work is rooted in one simple belief: that with the right support, you can become the person you want to be and flourish.

I bring a wealth of experience from across science, education, and health. I’ve worked as a research scientist, teacher, and lecturer, and spent time with the NHS as a nutritionist and Health and Well-Being Coach. I’ve also worked as a counsellor for a local cancer care and bereavement charity — experiences that shaped the compassionate, whole-person approach I bring to every client.

Alongside my private practice, I’m the Tutor Lead and a Director of The Training Academy in Shaw, Oldham, where I support the next generation of counsellors as they begin their own professional journeys. I’m proud to hold registrations with both BACP and UKATA.

I’m also a qualified Mental Health at Work First Aid Trainer and a Breathworks Mindfulness Facilitator — because good mental health matters everywhere, not just in the therapy room.

A place we can both connect

I offer face to face sessions in Wimlsow, Manchester.

You can work with me online.

I also offer walking therapy appointments from some great locations in Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
