Helping you make positive
changes in relationships, life and work.

Hello I’m Eileen, an indoor and outdoor therapist and nutritionist. I offer counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples, alongside disordered eating and nutrition advice.

Let's talk about it

I think therapy is for people who have the self-awareness to recognise that they need a helping hand and that is something to be applauded. At the heart of our work together is a relationship and finding someone you trust is very important.

As we work together positive changes in your relationships, work and life in general can take place, even when those challenges seem overwhelming, distressing and confusing. Whatever your struggle I am here to help.

What to expect

A warm welcome from me, as well as the support, time and space
to explore what brings you to therapy.

You can arrange your first appointment over text or email and if you prefer we can also talk over the phone before your  first session.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session for individuals. (This is different for couples; please see my FAQ page). This gives you a chance to talk about your difficulties, ask any questions you may have and work out for yourself what you want to do next.

Our work together might be short term or long term. Weekly sessions are ideal but fortnightly can also work well.

Helping you get better

Individual Counselling and Psychotherapy

I offer individual therapy in Manchester city centre and I work online.

You may be experiencing relationship problems, or have a low or depressed mood most or all of the time. You might be feeling stressed and anxious or be experiencing grief or anger. Perhaps you have issues around food and eating. Whatever the reason, therapy could help you.

Research shows that 4 out of 5 people who come for counselling benefit from the experience.

Each therapy session will be unique to your needs and could help you in different ways. Your health and wellbeing will improve, and you will feel more in control of your life and your emotions.

Disordered Eating

If you are struggling with issues around food and eating come and work with me.  Do you use food to manage your emotions? Are you a diet expert? Do you know what you should do, but feel stuck? I am a licenced practitioner of the Understanding Your Eating Programme (UYE), and I work with a lot of clients with disordered eating so why not get in touch to find out more?

About me

As a fully qualified and registered counsellor trained in Transactional Analysis (TA),  Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Imago Relationship Therapy, I can work with you according to your needs. I’m also a qualified nutritionist. You are the expert of your experiences, and my role is to facilitate your journey towards the life that you want to have and the person you want to be.
My background is in science, education and health. I’ve been a research scientist, teacher and lecturer. More recently, I have worked for the NHS as a nutritionist and Health and Wellbeing Coach in combination with setting up my practice as a counsellor.
I’m proud to say that I am now a full-time therapist.

Due to the current situation, my practice is mainly online and telephone-based. I also offer walking therapy appointments that can be walking phone calls or face to face sessions.

Daytime or evening appointments are available.
