Therapy

You can change your life for the better with therapy!  However, I appreciate it can be daunting to find a therapist who is right for you. When I see clients, I use a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, and you can book your first appointment with no obligation to see if you’d like to work with me.

Let's talk about it

Compassionate & Non Judgemental

My therapeutic approach uses Transactional Analysis (TA). TA is  a wonderful way of being curious about how people relate to each other. Using TA together, we can not only get to understand how you are feeling and behaving but also explore the reasons why!

I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This is an active form of therapy where we work together as a team to help you to be the sort of person you want to be and build the sort of life you want to live.

Who I work with

I  work with clients from the ages of 18 upwards. I have experience working with individuals  on a whole range of issues including:

  • Anger and rage
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Challenges with work or study
  • Depression
  • Family difficulties
  • Feeling stuck and dissatisfied or just that something isn’t quite right
  • Food, eating and weight related issues
  • Health matters
  • Infidelity
  • Intrusive thoughts
  • Low self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Loneliness
  • Parenting challenges
  • Post-natal depression
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Stress

What to expect from therapy

I offer a patient, friendly, open approach so that a positive therapeutic relationship can flourish. You can make progress as you develop insight and awareness and begin to work through your challenges.

At our first consultation I will invite you to talk about what brings you to therapy and we can then work at a pace that suits you, tailored to your needs in a safe, confidential, comfortable environment. Each session lasts  for 60 minutes and if you choose decide to work with me we will usually contract to work together for four or six weeks as a starting point. We then review and decide whether more sessions are required and if so how we will move forward.
